Malaysian Festival - Final Draft

We were lucky as our work were not rejected for the second time. At first we did divided the work into parts as what Dr. Edwin wanted us to do. But…I was confused as there were a few of my friends that told me that it should be done in essay form. So, I did what they told me as I was afraid that I was the only one who did it differently. However, I found that most Indian festivals/celebrations are interesting and unique. For example, in Onam Festival, the great boat race or “Vallamkali” is the main attraction as hundreds of men row the boats to beat of drums and cymbal as on the boat there is a scarlet silk umbrella with gold coins hung from it. I also realized that this festival is similar to Gawai Festival in Sabah as both of them are harvest festivals.
